THE WINE ENTHUSIAST |
 |
 |
"An effusively flowery, honeyed wine, brimming
with bright aromas of butterscotch and smoke, apricots, vanilla
and cinnamon. It's exotically fruity and rich, with complex flavors
ranging from apricot preserves to ginger. Tasty on its own."

DECANTER |
|
| |
"...Roussanne has emerged as Bonterra's star of
the 1999 vintage. This charming, juicy, sprightly white is a real
crowd pleaser. Fermented in used oak barrels and aged 'sur lies'
for seven months, it shows some oak spice but never strays from
its fresh and engaging fruit focus. Effusive scents of white peach,
floral, citrus and green apple jump out of the glass. The body is
rich and smooth with bright citrus flavours coming through in the
long finish. Not a complex Roussanne intended to be studied and
analysed, this one simply pleses and invites a second glass. Enjoy
it for its youthful exuberance over the next two years."
