This darkly colored and fruit-filled wine offers a tantalizing raspberry aroma with classic Zinfandel flavors of bright red fruits and black pepper.

  WINEMAKER NOTES:

A fairly darkly-colored wine with a deep purple-red hue leads to rich, ripe raspberry aromas with cinnamon, cloves, and with a hint of black pepper. In the mouth, classic Zinfandel characteristics of berries, clove, spice, and a touch of vanilla flavors lead to a long, rich finish with medium tannins. Complex, yet highly approachable.

Drinkable now, this wine is crafted to last 3 to 5 more years.

  FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS:

The 2000 Bonterra Zinfandel pairs nicely with spicy, tomato-based pastas and fresh pizzas, grilled pork tenderloin, and classic leg of lamb with herbs.
