3 Tips To Create Halloween-Inspired Charcuterie Boards

With Halloween just around the corner, we are embracing the magic of the season and elevating our graze boards with simple seasonal twists. Here are three easy tips that will help you craft a noteworthy board to enjoy with your favorite wine this Fall.

  1. Embrace the Colors of the Season: Choose ingredients that showcase the vibrant colors of the season to create a visually striking board. Think dark purples, bright oranges and deep greens. It helps to incorporate a variety of fruits, vegetables and cured meats both to add a pop of color and a range of flavors and textures to your board. Blackberries, orange slices and olives are all examples of tasty ways to incorporate seasonal colors.
  2. Balance Sweet and Savory Flavors: We love playing up the sweetness factor during October but it doesn’t hurt to find a good balance between sweet and savory flavors. We like to incorporate a mix of indulgent treats like assorted chocolates or caramel popcorn, alongside savory elements like cured meats, cheeses and crackers. By providing a diverse range of tasting experiences you can ensure those enjoying your graze board can find their perfect bite.
  3. Include Halloween or Fall Inspired Touches: To truly capture the magic of the season, get creative and include some themed treats or touches to your graze board. Add fake spiders, leaf shaped cookies or grab festive cookie cutters and transform cheese into ghosts, bats and pumpkins. These small themed bites will add an extra touch of festive charm to your board.
