It is a tremendous honor for the whole county that Wine Enthusiast magazine named Mendocino County the 2024 American Wine Region of the Year, as part of its annual Wine Star Awards. This award will draw attention to our great growing region, a hidden gem that is often overlooked in favor of our more famous neighbors to the south. One major reason for this recognition is that Mendocino is the country’s “Greenest AVA” with more than 25% of its acres certified organic, accounting for a third of ALL organic acres in the state of California. We’re proud to be part of that acreage, and the growing movement toward a regenerative future for all!
