Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Intense aromas of grapefruit, citrus, kiwi and fresh cut grass greet the nose. As you drink, the crisp acidity gives the wine a fresh vibrant feel with flavors of grapefruit, lime zest and grass that closes with favors of melon and a nice tart finish.

Chardonnay 2021

An initial impression of rich, buttery cream quickly turns to aromas of honey and lightly toasted almonds, followed by tropical aromas of pineapple, citrusy lemon and crème brulee. The wine is refreshing on the palate, with a minerality that is both bright and clean, drawing you into a vibrant tartness and lemon zest that is absolutely, positively Bonterra Chardonnay, vintage after vintage.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

A brilliant deep garnet hue hints at the wine’s powerful aromas and flavors of blackcurrant, black cherry and prune, layered over rich notes of leather, tobacco and graphite. This well-structured, medium-bodied Cabernet delivers elegant tannins, pleasing acidity and a lingering finish.

Pinot Noir 2021

Careful sourcing from celebrated Mendocino County vineyards with various microclimates and soil types results in a complex, bright, fruit forward Pinot Noir. After hand harvesting, the fruit was gently de-stemmed and moved to small open-top fermenters for a three-day cold soak. It was then inoculated with select yeast strains for fermentation. This Pinot Noir has aromas of strawberry and raspberry, accented with hints of oak spice and vanilla. In the mouth, this wine is rich with nice soft tannins and flavors of berries, vanilla and spice that fade into a lovely long finish.

Rosé 2022

Bonterra Rosé blends organic sites throughout California, with much of the fruit hailing from Mendocino, including some of our own organically-farmed estate vineyards. This delicate Grenache-based blend conjures aromas of ruby red grapefruit, red cherry, and watermelon, framed by a palate of pomegranate, red berries, a hint of peach and a suggestion of cotton candy. This beautifully dry rosé boasts elevated acidity and a crisp, lingering finish.

Merlot 2021

A brilliant crimson hue in the glass hints at this Merlot’s generous palate of rich, ripe red fruit. Notes of strawberry and pomegranate are framed by a subtle suggestion of dried herbs. This medium-bodied wine has an elegant tannin structure and a velvety finish.

Zinfandel 2019

Zinfandel is inextricably tied to Mendocino and stands as a tribute to the rugged Italians who settled this county and the remarkably rustic wines they created. Our Zinfandel is a little more elegant and balanced than those wines, but undeniably Mendocino. We try not to manipulate the wine too much, mainly because the fruit from our exceptional organic vineyards doesn’t require it. We do add a little Petite Sirah for added complexity.

Equinox Red 2020

Twice a year, the sun crosses the celestial equator, resulting in a day and night of equal length. These occurrences are referred to as “equinoxes,” and the twin lengths of day and night when they occur are among the many ways nature demonstrates balance. At Bonterra, we strive for a similar natural balance in our organic vineyards and in our wines. Equinox Red celebrates this vision, offering supple notes of juicy red and black fruit matched with a patina of intriguing spice, herb and oak tones.
