Pinot Noir 2019
The vast majority of the fruit in our Pinot Noir is sourced from organically farmed vineyards in Mendocino County, including estate sites McNab Ranch and Butler Ranch. The 2019 vintage was characterized by a cooler growing season, punctuated by the occasional rain shower, which allowed the grapes to mature slowly and develop greater depth of flavor.
This elegant Pinot Noir opens with bright fruit aromas of cherry and pomegranate, framed by earthy undertones of Earl Grey tea, mushroom and white pepper. Light-bodied and refined, the palate balances subtle tannins with vibrant acidity, accented by a long, generous finish.
Appellation: Mendocino County Alcohol: 13.8% Download Tasting NotesI’m really humbled by the following of our Pinot Noir. We sell out every year, which keeps a healthy amount of pressure on Jeff and I to continue making great wine! We really try to exercise restraint with this Pinot – an elegant wine is always the objective. This is a really versatile red wine. It’s really enjoyable on its own but it also compliments a wide array of dishes because it doesn’t compete with flavors.

Red cherries, licorice, cloves and raw button mushrooms on the nose. Some tangerine peel, too. It’s medium-bodied with soft tannins and a silky texture. Delicate flavors. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. – December 16, 2020

Cinnamon and clove aromas lead to a juicy, well-concentrated cherry flavor in this medium-bodied, fairly oaky wine. Light tannins add to the grippy mouthfeel and help pull the fruit flavors through the finish. —Jim Gordon
The Tasting Panel, November 2020 Issue
Aged for 11 months in new and neutral oak – 85% French and 15% American – this Pinot Noir, crafted from certified organically grown fruit, came in with a delectable perfume of exotic red flowers and Rainier cherries. Blessed with an inner sunshine, notes of jasmine and sandalwood added to a spiced pomegranate and ripe strawberry. Round, gliding and glistening to the finish.
